It seems like the makers of Pushpa 2 have landed in another legal trouble after G L Narasimha Rao, president of the Cine Prekshaka Viniyoga Darula Sangham, filed filed Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the High Court of Telangana.
According to Times Now, G L Narasimha Rao, in his PIL, said that the profits of Pushpa 2 should be allocated for the welfare and subsidies of small-budget films. He also expressed his concerns over the ticket prices and special screenings and on which basis they were approved. Times Now further reported that Narasimha also appealed to the court to direct the government to distribute the film’s profits towards the cine viewers welfare activities, construction of public theatres, and for taking effective measures to protect small films.
After hearing the petition, the court asked Narasimha to submit a copy of the relevant Supreme Court ruling supporting his contention. The case was adjourned for two weeks.
