YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, has been in the news recently for a controversial question he asked on Samay Raina’s show, ‘India’s Got Latent.’ After this incident, he was called to the Supreme Court and faced several restrictions. On February 24, he was questioned for about two hours by officials from the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in Navi Mumbai.
For the unversed, Ranveer faced backlash for making inappropriate comments about parents’ intimacy on the show. During the questioning, he admitted his mistake to the investigating officer and explained why he appeared on ‘India’s Got Latent.’
Ranveer Appeared As A Guest On IGL
According to the reports by Times Now, Ranveer Allahbadia told the Cyber Cell that he went to India’s Got Latent because his friend, Samay Raina, is the host. He made it clear that he did not charge any money for appearing on the show. Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, said that YouTubers like to keep friendly connections and often appear on each other’s shows.
Ashish Chanchlani also visited the Cyber Cell’s office in Navi Mumbai for questioning yesterday. Ranveer received relief from the Supreme Court, but the court criticized him for his statement. The court also ordered Allahbadia to help with the ongoing investigation and to submit his passport to the Thane police so he cannot leave the country without permission.
Who All Was Summoned?
Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Mukhija, and Samay Raina have been called in by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Samay is in the US for shows and must appear for questioning by March 10, 2025. The Cyber Cell has also summoned over 50 people connected to ‘India’s Got Latent.’ Due to negative reactions online, Samay Raina has now removed all the episodes of the show.
