Fashion designer and Netflix reality TV star Seema Sajdeh has spoken out about dating post-divorce from actor Sohail Khan. The two, who were wed from 1998 to 2022, have a son together. Stepping into the next chapter of her life now, Seema shared that the prospect of dating again was far from thrilling and it was really scary for her.
“Dating Again Was The Worst Part”
In a recent interview with content creator and host Janice Sequeira, Seema opened up candidly about the challenges she experienced after going single. While most told her to just have fun and meet new people, the idea of dating seemed frightening. “Honestly, for me, it was the worst part, Everyone just told me, ‘Arey, just go have good time, meet him, talk to him’. I watched too much of Law and Order SVU. And because I watched it too much, I started to think I might get killed. I am like, ‘What if he turns out to be a serial killer?’”
Most famous for her stint on Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Seema also confessed that she doesn’t belong in today’s dating world. She called herself ‘old school’ and admitted to not knowing newer slang terms such as “situationship.” Sharing a funny incident Seema recalled her personal experience with online dating, which didn’t end well and revealed, “I went to a dating app only once because this was one night of drinking too much and a couple of friends… we got together. I registered on that app as per their suggestion and then when I woke up in the morning, I realised I had selected the gender for my partner as female. I thought they were asking me for my gender.”
Seema And Sohail’s Relationship
Seema Sajdeh and Sohail Khan were among Bollywood’s most rumored couples back in the day. They got married in 1998 and were together for more than two decades before officially separating in 2022. Even after their breakup, the two have managed to keep things civil for the interest of their son, Nirvaan. Though Sohail hails from the famous Khan family of Bollywood, Seema forged her own path as a successful fashion designer and Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ popular face. Their relationship, which was largely kept under wraps, finally broke up quietly, with both moving on in their own ways.
