Actress-Model Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame in the early 2000s for her power-packed performance in the iconic song ‘Kaanta Laga’, passed away in Mumbai at the age of 42. Shefali reportedly died after suffering a cardiac arrest late at night on June 27. She was rushed to the Bellevue Multispeciality hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, and three others.
Sharing the details, the Mumbai Police said, “Her body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear.”

Mumbai police and forensic team have left the building. A member of the forensic team was seen carrying a bag, which, according to sources, may contain a copy of Shefali Jariwala's medical report. Additionally, the police have questioned Shefali Jariwala's cook and housemaid. They also photographed the building’s entry register to determine if anyone had visited her flat before the incident.
