Shefali Jariwala’s sudden death has shocked the entire film and television industry. She passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 42 and the cause of her death is still unknown. Her fans and well-wishers are devastated by her sudden death. Shefali had a successful career in television and worked in some movies as well.
She was also known as the ‘Kaanta’ girl after she rose to immense fame due to her music video ‘Kaanta Laga’ in 2002. Shefali’s performance in the music video became the rage at the time of its release. From her dance to her outfits, she became the talk of the town and her popularity grew.
After Kaanta Laga, she appeared in several reality shows. She participated in Boogie Woogie, Nach Baliye 5, Nach Baliye 7 and Bigg Boss 13. She also starred in the show ‘Shaitani Rasmein’.
Talking about films, Shefali was seen in the 2004 film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ alongside Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. She also starred in the 2011 Kannada film ‘Hudugaru’. She was also seen in the web series ‘Baby Come Naa’.

Mumbai police revealed that the cause of her death is not clear yet. “Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear” the cops were quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
It was earlier reported that Shefali died due to cardiac arrest. Her husband Parag Tyagi and her mother looked devastated while returning from hospital after learning about her death.
