Shefali Jariwala, popularly known as the Kaanta Laga girl, passed away at the age of 42 due to a cardiac arrest on the night of June 27. The actress suffered the fatal episode at her residence in Oshiwara, Mumbai, and was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others, where she was declared dead on arrival.
Days after her death, a prayer meet was held in Mumbai to honor her memory. A video shared by entertainment portal Mamarazzi captured an emotional moment as Shefali’s father, Satish Jariwala, broke down while remembering his daughter. Her husband Parag Tyagi, was seen comforting his father-in-law.
Reports have surfaced suggesting that Shefali may have taken an anti-ageing injection on an empty stomach, which could have contributed to the cardiac arrest. However, Mumbai Police have confirmed that the autopsy showed no signs of foul play. The official cause of death is yet to be disclosed.
According to Hindustan Times, the police said that they have not suspected foul play yet and are waiting for the post-mortem. It was earlier reported that Shefali might have died due to a heart attack.
The police further stated that Shefali collapsed at her house on Friday and was declared dead on her arrival at Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri. Her body was shifted to R N Cooper Hospital in Juhu for post-mortem. The police further revealed that the doctor suspected the sudden dip in her blood pressure levels to be the reason for her demise.
“No foul play is suspected yet. We are waiting for the post-mortem report,” the police officer said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
