Abhishek Banerjee, known for his compelling performances in Stree and Mirzapur is returning with ‘Stolen’, which has garnered praise on the global film festival. Directed by Karan Tejpal, this thriller drama is now set for an OTT release in India. The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 4, 2025, the streaming platform confirmed via an Instagram post on Monday.

Stolen has received widespread recognition, having premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, and later screened at BFI London, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. It also won the Audience Choice Award for Best Film and Best Director at the Skip City International Digital Cinema Festival in Japan.
The film follows two brothers Gautam (Abhishek Banerjee) and Raman (Shubham Vardhan) watch as a child is taken away from a mother at a railway station in Stolen. What begins as an effort to track down the missing child spirals into a gritty narrative about privilege, power, and systemic apathy in India’s class-divided society.
Executive producers of this thriller drama includes Anurag Kashyap, Kiran Rao, Nikkhil Advani, and Vikramaditya Motwane. The film is directed by Karan Tejpal and produced by Gaurav Dhingra. The cast features Abhishek Banerjee, Harish Khanna, Mia Maelzer, Sahidur Rahaman, and Shubham Vardhan.
