Actor Sooraj Pancholi is ready to return to the big screen after a four-year break with a historical action drama Kesari Veer starring Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, and Akanksha Sharma. During the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai Sooraj turned emotional as hr opened up about his journey, struggles, and the support he’s received.
Flooded with emotion at the event, Sooraj thanked his director Kanu Chauhan and co-star Akanksha Sharma “This is a very special film to all of us. Thank you, Kanu (Chauhan), for giving me the chance. Thank you, Akanksha…” but couldn’t continue as he broke down mid-sentence.
Sooraj addressed the reason for his absence from films for the legal ordeal following Jiah Khan’s tragic death in 2013 “Many things I had to clear from my life. Everyone knows about it (Jiah Khan’s case). There’s nothing more hiding behind it. My mother (Zarina Wahab) says good things take time. I was waiting for the right film, and I don’t think I could have ever gotten a better film than this to let me say a comeback.”
But in 2023, a special CBI court cleared Sooraj Pancholi, citing a lack of evidence in the case.

Suniel Shetty also encouraged and praised his dedication “He’s seen a lot. Now, he’s got this second chance. Trust me, this is an opportunity the Almighty has given, that Mahadev (Lord Shiva) has given. You’ll see it in the film that he’s unbelievably good! Every time I see him on screen, it’s like I’m watching Ahan. That’s the kind of effort he’s put in. And the same kind of love,” comparing Sooraj’s on screen presence to his own son, Ahan Shetty.
