Benson Boone became popular in 2021 after auditioning for American Idol at 18. Even though he got the golden ticket, he decided to quit the show. He built his music career on his own, gaining 1.7 million followers on TikTok before dropping his first song, Ghost Town, which made it to the Billboard charts. He also performed on shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
