Superman Box Office Collection Day 7: Here’s How James Gunn’s Superhero Film Fared in India In Its First Week

Superman ended its first week on a steady note despite a gradual drop in daily earnings. The film maintained momentum wrapping up the week with a solid overall performance.

‘Superman’ arrived in theatres worldwide after generating major buzz ahead of its release. Starring David Corenswet in the title role, the movie brings back the glory of Superman to the big screen after eight years. David replaces Henry Cavill as the beloved superhero and has been receiving immense praise for his performance. ‘Superman’ enjoys a huge fan following in India as well, and it’s giving tough competition to Bollywood movies released along with it.

Superman Box Office Collection India Day 7:

‘Superman’ continued its box office run in India. The film kicked off with a solid start on its first Friday, earning Rs 7.25 crore. On second day, it saw a healthy jump, collecting Rs 9.5 crore. It saw a slight dip on third day with Rs 9.25 crore. Day four witnessed a significant drop of over 75%, bringing in Rs 2.6 crore. However, it picked up slightly on Day 5 with Rs 3 crore. The trend declined again on Day 6, bringing in Rs 2.02 crore.

According to Sacnilk early estimates, the film collected Rs 1.73 crore on Day 7, taking its total box office collection to Rs 35.35 crore in seven days.

About Superman

Written and directed by James, Superman stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent whereas Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult plays the main villain, megalomaniac super-genius Lex Luthor.

As ‘Superman’ was produced on a $225 million budget, the future of the movie appears bright. 

Superman also stars Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Anthony Carrigan as the Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.
