Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo kept the audience hooked with their stellar performances and mesmerising vocals in ‘Wicked’. They will now return with its second part, titled ‘Wicked: For Good’. The movie also stars Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. The makers have unveiled the first trailer of ‘Wicked: For Good’, creating excitement among the audience ahead of its release in November 2025.

The trailer of ‘Wicked: For Good’ shows how Elphaba and Glinda’s relationship has changed but they still long for their friendship. From breathtaking visuals and vibrant colours to soulful voices by Ariana and Glinda, the 2-minute and 46-second video shows it all.
Wicked focused on a young woman named Elphaba, who is misunderstood because of her green skin. She becomes friends with Glinda but their relationship soon takes a turn as their lives begin to take very different paths.
According to Universal Pictures, ‘Wicked: For Good’ will showcase the next chapter in the lives of Elphaba and Glinda. The movie will now focus on how Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, is living in exile and continues her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard. Meanwhile, Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz and prepares to marry Prince Fiyero.
While dealing with her separation from Elphaba, she tries to broker a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but those efforts fail, driving Elphaba and Glinda only further apart. These incidents lead to an angry mob against the Wicked Witch and Glinda and Elphaba need to come together one final time.

The film is produced by returning Tony and Emmy-winning powerhouse Marc Platt p.g.a. and by multiple Tony winner David Stone. The executive producers are Stephen Schwartz, David Nicksay, Jared LeBoff, Winnie Holzman, and Dana Fox.
The first part of this franchise earned 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and won the Oscars for Costume Design and Production Design.
