Mumbai: The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra has started in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday as Congress chief of Maharashtra unit Nana Patole handed over the national flag to his MP counter part Kamal Nath.
The act symbolises that the ‘Yatra’ ended in the Maratha land and start in the Madhya Pradesh.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Padyatra’ has resumed from Burhanpur district. The Congress’ mass outreach programme finished its journey in Maharashtra on November 20 itself.
However, the workers and supporters who have been participating in the foot march took rest for two days and restarted the journey today.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi who is a star campaigner of the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections of Congress, was in the poll-bound state to address public rallies for the last two days.

Earlier, a letter was found outside a sweet shop in Indore threatened to bomb Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as soon as he arrives in the city.
The letter also stated that former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamalnath will also be shot dead as a revenge of 1984 riots in India.
“…very soon Kamal Nath will be shot at the time of Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Indore, Rahul Gandhi will be sent to Rajiv Gandhi,” read the letter.

Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi had started the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ on September 7 which aimed to revive the grand-old party across the nation. The foot march which started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu will conclude in Srinagar, Kashmir.
The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ has already covered several states including Telangana, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
