In a breakthrough in the Hoax bomb threat case, the Ahmedabad Police have arrested a person who sent all the threat mails to several schools across the country, including the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Cyber Police on Monday landed in Chennai to arrest the accused, identified as Rene Joshilda. The woman, employed as a senior consultant in a private company, had allegedly sent the threatening emails to frame a man whom she loved.
The accused woman had written 21 hoax bomb threat emails. She hatched the conspiracy to trap the man after falling into one-sided love. Joshilda allegedly used the dark web and cyber safety tools to hide her identity. Police were able to track her down due to a technical mistake. The arrest had happened a few days before the grand religious event, Jagannath Rath Yatra, scheduled for June 27.
The police have notably averted the potential threat on time. During the process, various documentary evidence has been recovered. According to Joint CP Sharad Singhal, this arrest is a big achievement as the accused was an expert in hiding the digital trail. This case has set a scary example of a dangerous cyber conspiracy hatched due to one-sided love.
