In a tragic condition, an Air India Express Pilot died due to a medical condition soon after operating a flight from Srinagar to the national capital, a source said.
Pilot was feeling unwell
The pilot was feeling unwell after landing the flight at Delhi airport. He was soon taken to Fortis hospital where he passed away, a source told the news agency PTI.
Airline issues statement
“We deeply regret the loss of a valued colleague due to a medical condition… we are extending all possible assistance to them as we all cope with this tremendous loss,” an airline spokesperson said in a statement. The airline also conducted all the required Standard Operating Procedures.
IndiGo flight made emergency landing
On April 7, An IndiGo flight from Jaipur made an emergency landing at Mumbai airport following a bomb threat, authorities said.
‘Threat note was discovered’
In a statement, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Mumbai said, “A threat note was discovered in an aircraft en route from Jaipur (JAI) to Mumbai (BOM). As a precaution, full emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport at 2043 hrs. The flight landed safely at 20.50 hrs. Airport operations remain unaffected. CSMIA is actively coordinating with the airline and security agencies. The safety of passengers and staff remains our top priority.”
