Kurnool Superintendent of Police visited the village, assuring residents of strict security measures. Police also set up a picket in the village to prevent any untoward incidents.

Political leaders condemned the attack and demanded justice for Chowdary’s family. TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh, the son of Chief Minister-designate N Chandrababu Naidu, criticized the attack and accused former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of being involved in the killing of his political rivals.

In the 2024 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, the TDP achieved a landslide victory, securing 135 out of 175 seats. Its NDA allies, the Jana Sena Party and BJP, won 21 and eight seats respectively. In contrast, the YSRCP, which had won 151 seats in the previous election, suffered a major defeat and managed to secure only 11 seats.
