In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old man allegedly set his relative’s home on fire over a financial dispute in Bengaluru’s Vivek Nagar area. The police said no casualties occurred in the incident.
Incident occurred on July 1
According to a report by the TimeS of India, the accused has been identified as Subramani. A complaint was filed by Sathish, who stated that the incident took place on July 1.
The report said that Sathish was living with his three brothers and his mother, Venkataramani, in a three-storey building. One of his brother’s daughters, Parvati, had taken a loan of ₹5 lakh from Venkataramani.
Parvati allegedly threatened Sathish
When Venkataramani asked Parvati to repay the money, Parvati allegedly threatened Sathish and Venkataramani with dire consequences and warned them not to ask for the money again.
On June 30, Sathish and his brother visited Parvati’s residence to settle the dispute through discussion. The next day, early in the morning, Venkataramani called Sathish, saying that someone had set the ground floor on fire. The objects were completely gutted by the blaze.
The police have launched a probe into the matter.
Three dead in lorry collision in Telangana
In a separate incident, Three people died on the spot after two lorries collided head-on and caught fire immediately at Kudiya Tanda on the Maripeda to Warangal road in Mahabubabad district, on Friday morning.
Officials are set to conduct a post-mortem examination (PME) of the deceased.

Satish, Sub-Inspector of Maripeda police station, said, “Today, in the early morning hours around 4:00 am, two lorries collided head-on, resulting in one death in one lorry and two deaths in the other, on the spot. After the collision, both lorries caught fire. The incident occurred at Kudya Tanda on the Maripeda-Warangal road. We have to conduct a post-mortem examination (PME), and the case is yet to be registered.”
