The Greater Noida authority decided to develop the 37-acre circular parking facility situated between Knowledge Park 2 and 3 near the India Exposition Centre and Mart into a contemporary community space that can host fairs and exhibitions as well as public activities. The Greater Noida authority takes this step to resolve both traffic management problems and insufficient infrastructure challenges which frequently arise when major national and international events occur at the India Exposition Centre.
Key Features Of The Redevelopment Plan
As quoted by Hindustan Times, Greater Noida Authority’s Chief Executive Officer Ravi Kumar NG mentioned, “As per the proposed concept, nearly 75,000 square meters of the 1.5 lakh square meter plot will be developed with structured parking facilities, public amenities such as toilets and kiosks, peripheral greenery, and a central open area. This central space will serve as the main venue for hosting fairs, exhibitions, and various public programs.”
The authority has asked Expression of Interest from architectural and urban planning firms. The last date for the submission of the proposal is April 16, 2025. The applicants who will be selected will get a chance to present their ideas in front of the authority on April 18, 2025.
Focus On Modern Traffic Management Solutions
The redevelopment goals focus mainly on creating better transportation systems for vehicles and people passing through the site area. Officials explained that the authority will deploy contemporary traffic management systems along with optimized parking areas linked to clear entrance and exit markers and congestion management components.
Once this gets implemented, it will solve the traffic-related issue and make the movement in the area smoother during any big event.
