Passengers traveling in Delhi Metro are going to get a major relief in form of internet connectivity. Once this is a success, the problem of connectivity will be resolved in the metro. DMRC will lay fiber cables along the Delhi Metro route in NCR. Once this process is completed, people will be able to access the internet in the metro, solving the problem of connectivity inside the metro.
This will first be done on the Magenta route (from Botanical Garden Metro Station to The Krishna Park Extension station) and the Pink Line (from Shiv Vihar Metro Station to Majlis Park Metro Station).
As reported by Jagran, the Principal Executive Director of DMRC, Anuj Dayal stated that, for this process, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has signed an agreement with Bekhal Digital Technologies Private Ltd. The work of this company will be to lay and maintain the optical fiber cable.
Benefits From This Plan
The installation of this optical fiber is important for the internet connectivity. Once this gets installed people will easily be able to use internet inside the metro. Currently the commuters faces the major problem when the metro goes underground. Once this gets planted this issue will be resolved.
The Delhi Metro, which has become a major means of travel in the national capital, has solved everyone’s problem by providing relief from traffic.
