A new Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor will be developed in NCR. This corridor will start from Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram and will go through Bata Chowk in Faridabad to Noida Sector-142 and Surajpur in Greater Noida. There will be eight stations in the middle of this 60 km long corridor.
It is estimated that about Rs 15 thousand crore will be spent on this entire project. After the construction of this corridor, it will help a lot in reducing the traffic congestion and pollution caused by the transport sector in NCR.
Meeting Between Union Minister Manohar Lal And CM Saini
Recently, a detailed discussion was held in the meeting between Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal in New Delhi regarding the expansion of the metro and the construction of the RRTS corridor (Gurugram RRTS Corridor Update).
There was also a discussion between the two on providing facilities like metro rail and regional rapid transit system to the people of Haryana (Haryana News). Along with this, connecting RRTS from Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan to Karnal and metro line from Gurugram to AIIMS in Badhsa was also discussed.
This corridor will start from Gurugram and go to Greater Noida via Faridabad. The corridor is about 60 km long and will have eight stations in between. About 15 thousand crore rupees are estimated to be spent on this entire project.
Union Minister Khattar On This Project
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khatter said that, a study will be conducted to connect the metro from Palam Vihar in Gurugram to the airport. Along with this, the possibilities of laying two separate lines will be explored. A proposal will be prepared to start the RRTS corridor from Sarai Kale Khan to Dharuhera till Bawal and Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan. The condition of metro rail line between Gurugram (Gurugram News) to Faridabad (Faridabad News) was not being created. Therefore, now a study will be conducted to implement RRTS here.
According to Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, a study will be conducted for laying a line from Delhi’s Palam Airport to Jewar Airport via Gurugram, Faridabad. The cost of the proposed metro line that will be layed from Sector-56 of Gurugram to Panchgaon will be decided by the Haryana government. After receiving the DPR of this project, it will be approved immediately by the Central Ministry.
