Shahberi Marg in Greater Noida will undergo an expansion and repairs starting March 25. Shahberi Marg requires a s1.5-meter expansion on both sides along its 3 km length. The project requires twenty days to finish. A revised traffic route will be in effect during this period. The widening project aims to reduce travel times between Greater Noida and Crossing Republic (Ghaziabad). The Shahberi Marg expansion will provide limited relief from daily congestion. Currently, Shahberi Marg extends from the Iteda roundabout in Greater Noida West, with a width of 3 meters, until it reaches the adjacent area. A one-lane road structure frequently causes traffic congestion in this area. Noida airport operations will elevate traffic pressures even more. The authority decided to expand this road considering its current situation.
The authority official projects that road expansion will occur with a 1.5-metric addition to both edges. The implementation of two traffic lanes will produce seamless circulation. The ongoing rise in population and traffic intensity within Greater Noida West demanded the expansion of this road. Shahberi Marg experiences thousands of daily passing vehicles which creates frequent traffic congestion. Following a repair and width expansion, this road will provide both improved travel conditions and amplified traffic speed capability.
The area requires the construction of an elevated road according to current plans. The detailed project report for the project is currently being developed by the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI).
The working speed of the Charmurti roundabout underpass will accelerate after Shahberi Marg completes its expansion and repair operations. The authorities have prioritized Shahberi Marg widening work since authorities need this route during route diversions in this area.
Road widening projects accompanied by traffic diversion will occur on Shahberi Road between the 25th of March and 20 days later. Vehicles going toward Ghaziabad via Shahberi starting from the Iteda roundabout will be able to travel to their destinations by using the 130-meter road that leads from Gaur Chowk through the Tigri roundabout. Cars traveling from Tilpata to Ghaziabad through Shahberi should turn right from the Ekmurti circular junction to follow Roza Chowk through the Chhapraula railway gate and Lal Kuan. The 130-meter-wide road starting from Gaur Chowk connects the Tigri roundabout to Gaur Chowk for vehicles that travel from ABES Ghaziabad or NH-24 via Shahberi towards Noida/Greater Noida.
Shahberi Marg widening and repair work will begin its operations on March 25 according to AK Singh who serves as General Manager Project for Greater Noida Authority. The project needs 20 days to reach its completion target. This will make traffic smooth. The Greater Noida West area now experiences relieved traffic flow because officials are working to eliminate jams. Other complementary actions are implemented together with road expansion.
