Two unknown individuals on a motorcycle discharged three shots outside the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in Mumbai’s Bandra locality early on Sunday. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
Around 4:51 am, two individuals fired three shots and then an additional four shots outside Galaxy Apartments before quickly leaving the scene.
Security measures have been increased outside Salman Khan’s residence in response to the incident. Both the crime branch and local police units have conducted investigations at the scene.
Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) stated that actor Salman Khan was the top target on a list of 10 individuals marked for elimination by imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This was due to Khan’s involvement in the 1998 black buck hunting incident, which offended the Bishnoi community according to Bishnoi.

Sources suggest that shooters associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar were sent to Mumbai with the aim of targeting the actor.
In 2018, Sampat Nehra, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, conducted a recce on Salman Khan’s residence. However, before he could execute the attack, Haryana Police apprehended him. Subsequently, during interrogation, Nehra disclosed the entire plot to target Salman Khan.
In light of the repeated threats posed by the gangs associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, the Mumbai Police have stationed a dedicated team outside Salman Khan’s residence, ensuring continuous surveillance and protection around the clock.
