Assam was shocked by a distressing incident when a woman was allegedly gran-raped by 9 men in Nijarapar locality of Boragaon area of Guwahati. The incident got filmed before it’s video was posted on the social media.
Police Arrest 6 Accused
The police has arrested six people which have been identified as Kuldeep, Pinku Das, Mrinal, Gagan, Bijay, and Saurabh, whereas the search for the other three accused Robin Das, Dipankar, and Krishna is underway.

About Incident
According to the preliminary police investigation, the victim faced brutal and sexual violence from the accused, whereas others recorded the shameless act on their mobile phones. The video was shared on the social media to increase the trauma of the victim and prevent it from spreading between public.
Locals informed the police regarding the matter after they saw the video on social media. This prompted the police and the higher authorities to take swift action in the incident.
The police has urged the locals not to circulate the video as the investigation of the incident is under process. The police emphasised that such actions will hamper the dignity of the victim, and could result in legal consequences. The authorities also urged the locals to help out in finding the other three accused.
