Amit Srivastava, the lawyer representing the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) stated “The survey report is expected to be submitted before the district court on Monday”. On November 28, Srivastava filed a plea requesting an additional three weeks for the submission of the report. He mentioned that ASI experts are diligently analyzing data, including images related to the historical structure and remains in question.

According to Amit Srivastava, the ASI’s lawyer, the organization is in the process of cross-checking, correlating, and compiling the findings of experts and specialists. Srivastava mentioned that the completion and preparation of the report would require additional time.
Akhlaque Ahmad, the lawyer representing the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee that manages the mosque, objected to the ASI’s plea, arguing that it was repeatedly seeking time without providing any concrete reason. Ahmad requested the dismissal of the application.
District Judge Ajaya Krishna Vishvesha, on November 30, considered the details in the application and granted the ASI an additional 10 days to file the report, scheduling December 11 as the next date of hearing.
On November 18, the district court initially granted the ASI 10 days to submit the report, considering its application that had requested 15 days. Prior to this, on November 2, the court had already granted the ASI 15 days to complete and submit the report.
The survey resumed under tight security on August 4 after the Allahabad High Court, a day earlier, lifted a stay and authorized the exercise. The Varanasi court had originally ordered the survey on July 21.
