Yogi Adityanath On Gyanvapi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reacted for the first time on the Gyanvapi case. He said that calling Gyanvapi a mosque is a historical mistake. He also asked that what is the use of the Trishul on the walls of the mosque complex?
In an interview with news agency ANI, Adityanath said the government wanted to resolve the long-standing issue. Yogi said that the solution to the Gyanvapi issue should come from the Muslim side.
Yogi breaks his slience over Gyanvapi
CM Yogi Adityanath spoke for the first time today on the ongoing dispute regarding the Gyanvapi Masjid. He said that the Muslim side should accept that it was a historical mistake.
Responding to a question regarding the resolution of the dispute, Adityanath said, “if we call it a mosque, it will be a dispute. I think God has given us a vision, so we must see it. What is Trishul doing inside a mosque?”
The Chief Minister of UP said, “There are Jyotirlingas, idols of deities inside the mosque. The walls of the campus are literally screaming. I think the Muslim side should accept it as a historical mistake and it should be resolved.”
Hindu body hails Yogi’s statement
All India Hindu Mahasabha National President Swami Chakrapani Maharaj backed Yogi Adityanath’s comment on Gyanvapi Masjid. He said, “I support Yogi Adityanath’s statement. It’s a good chance of Muslims to accept the historical mistake and give the message of brotherhood to the Nation.”
