In a shocking incident, a Haryana-based model Sheetal, aka Simmi Chaudhary was found dead on Sunday night. Her body was recovered from a water canal in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat district in Haryana. It is suspected that Sheetal was murdered, as she was found with a slit throat. The model hailed from Panipat and was identified by the tattoos on her hands and chest.
Boyfriend Under Suspicion
Sheetal used to work in Haryanvi music videos and had been living with her sister Neha in Khalila Majra. Her sister had registered a missing person complaint on Sunday. It is reported that Sheetal had gone for a shoot on June 14, where her boyfriend also arrived and assaulted her. She informed her sister about the incident during a video call and said that she will reach shortly. Sheetal also told her sister that she was wounded on her neck. However, Sheetal didn’t reach home that day. Later, her friend’s car was found near the canal.
Kharkhoda police have begun their investigation and her sister has been contacted to confirm the identity. Arrival of Sheetal’s family from Panipat is awaited.

Reacting on the incident, Sonipat ACP Headquarters Ajit Singh said, “We received information about the presence of the body of a woman in a canal. Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. In the process of identifying the body, it was found that a missing report for a woman, Sheetal, had been filed in Panipat. The Police are undertaking further actions.”
