Hyderabad Family Of 4 Killed In US After Mini Truck Crashes Head-On Into Their Car In Dallas

In a tragic incident, a family of four from Hyderabad including two died in a horrific car crash in America’s Dallas. The victims have been identified as Sri Venkat Bejugam, his wife Tejaswini Cholleti, and their two young children- Siddarth and Mrida Bejugam, reports Times of India. The incident reportedly took place on July 5.

The family were reportedly on vacation in the US and had travelled to Atlanta last week. They went to visit their relatives and were returning to Dallas when the accident happened. A mini truck allegedly coming from the wrong direction collided head-on with the victim’s car. According to a TOI report, the car burst into flames after the collision. dadasda

A video of their car burning after the accident surfaced online. The horrific video shows the car bursting into flames, leaving the victims’ bodies charred beyond recognition.

As the victims were reportedly charred to death that the authorities were able to collect only bone fragments for forensic examinations and DNA testing confirmations. Officials are carrying out dental record verification also to confirm the identity of the bodies before handing them over to their relatives. The Indian-origin family lived in Sutton Fields near Dallas, reported TOI. Non-profit TEAM Aid is reportedly coordinating with relatives and friends of the family for logistics support.

Local police and US federal officials are working together to handle the situation. They are coordinating with the Indian Consulate to make arrangements for sending the bodies back to India. Their main focus is to ensure that the remains are repatriated smoothly and respectfully.
