On Friday, the weather across India is changing due to Western Disturbances. The India Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rainfall/snowfall with thunderstorms on February 28. This area is likely to experience gusty winds of 40-50 km/h. There are chances of heavy rainfall and snowfall in isolated regions over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Uttarakhand on February 28. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely over Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on February 28.

On the other hand, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan until March 1. According to the IMD, there are chances of heavy rainfall in Punjab on February 28.
A fresh Western Disturbance is set to affect Northwest India from March 2. Under its influence, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh from March 2 to 5, while Uttarakhand may experience similar conditions from March 2 to 4. Additionally, isolated light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are expected in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on March 3.

According to India Meteorological Department, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on February 27. Similar conditions are forecasted in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from February 27 to March 1, in Kerala and Mahe from February 28 to March 2, and in Lakshadweep on February 28 and March 1. Heavy rainfall is also likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on February 28 and March 1, and in Kerala and Mahe on March 1.
The India Meteorological Department also predicts isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over Arunachal Pradesh on February 28 and March 1, and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on February 27 and 28. Additionally, Assam and Meghalaya are likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning on February 28 and March 1, with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph on February 28. Heavy rainfall is also likely in Arunachal Pradesh on March 1.
