IMD Weather Update: Amidst the changing weather, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall in several parts of the country over the next few days. Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka may get some relief from the ongoing hot and humid conditions as the Met Body has predicted light showers over these regions on March 23rd. The places mentioned will also experience thunderstorms, lightning, and strong surface winds, blowing at 40 to 60 kmph.
Rain Forecast
According to IMD, the wet spell accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) is expected to continue over Arunachal Pradesh during the next five days. Scattered and fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall will bring respite from ongoing heat and dust over the northern regions of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura till the 25th of March. The other affected states likely to receive rain include Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe, Lakshadweep, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka.
