Greater Noida West: At midnight, a speeding bike met with an accident on the underpass being constructed near Gaur City roundabout. The bike hit the barrier and jumped in the air and fell into the underpass under construction. The collision was so strong that the bike was blown to pieces and the girl sitting behind died on the spot.
According to the police, the name of the deceased girl was Kashish who lived in 14th Avenue of Gaur City. The young man driving the bike, Ankush, is a resident of Panchsheel Greens Society. On Monday night, he first came to pick up Kashish from 14th Avenue, then both of them left on the bike and the accident happened while going towards Char Murti.
Construction work was going on at the incident site and a huge amount of material was lying there. It is suspected that while falling, the girl got hit by some heavy object, which led to her death.
At present, the police have sent the body for postmortem and the youth is being questioned as to why both of them had come out on the road at midnight. The bike has been confiscated and no complaint has been lodged yet. Police say that the accident happened due to speeding.
Police are also saying that the number of such cases is increasing. Recently, a video of another couple went viral on social media in which they were doing obscene acts on a bike. Now another case has come up in which a young woman lost her life due to negligence.
