In India too, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has inspected the planes. One such aircraft is also owned by Reliance Industries of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said that the inspection of Boeing 737 Max aircraft has been completed and it has been satisfactory. The DGCA on January 5 had directed domestic airlines to immediately inspect the emergency exits of all Boeing 737 Max aircraft in their fleet as an adequate precautionary measure in the wake of the Alaska Airlines incident.
According to a Bloomberg report, Reliance Industries is the only company that has a corporate jet. This aircraft is a variant of the Boeing 737-9 Max. Reliance Industries inducted the Boeing 737-9 Max into its corporate fleet last year. The aircraft registration is 17- LOTUS and the aircraft has a plugged mid-cabin exit door. Let us tell you that there are many other jets in Reliance’s corporate fleet, which include Embraer SA ERJ 145 aircraft and an Airbus SE A319
DGCA said- These tests have been conducted satisfactorily on the operational fleet of Boeing B737-8 Max aircraft by Air India Express (4), SpiceJet (8) and Akasa (20). Akasa Air also has a B737-8200 aircraft in its fleet, which has a mid-cabin door and the operational checks on it have also been completed satisfactorily.
