Narendra Modi Not Taking Oath On 8th? It’s POSTPONED

Modi resigned on Wednesday and submitted his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu ahead of the oath ceremony. The President accepted his resignation as the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers

According to sources, Narendra Modi, who was initially expected to be sworn in as the Prime Minister of India on Saturday, June 8, is now expected to take oath on Sunday, June 9. Previous reports had suggested an earlier date for his oath-taking ceremony, which has since been postponed.

Modi resigned on Wednesday and submitted his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu before his oath ceremony. The President accepted his resignation as the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and urged him to continue in his post until the new government assumed office.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Chandrababu Naidu, who was expected to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, will now take oath on June 12. The change in date was due to Narendra Modi’s oath ceremony, which was initially expected to be on Saturday, June 8.

In the recent Lok Sabha election, the NDA secured 292 out of 543 seats, surpassing the majority mark by 20 seats. However, the BJP, with 240 seats, did not obtain a majority on its own, marking a notable decline from its strong performances in 2014 and 2019.
