Under Modi’s leadership, the NDA government drives progress across sectors, focusing on uplifting the poor, empowering women, supporting youth, and addressing the needs of farmers and marginalized communities.

At the gathering convened by PM Modi, 21 leaders were in attendance, including key figures such as Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar, Telugu Desam Party Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde. These three leaders hold significant sway in terms of numerical strength. The TDP secured 16 Lok Sabha seats (with its partner, the Jana Sena, winning two, totaling 18); the JD(U) secured 12 seats, while the Shiv Sena secured 7. Together, these 37 seats, when added to the BJP’s 240, comfortably surpass the majority mark of 272 seats.

Before the NDA meeting, Modi officially resigns, accepted by President Droupadi Murmu, and he will continue in office until the new government is formed. With the NDA holding 293 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha, Modi is set to become only the second PM after Jawaharlal Nehru to secure a third term, relying on support from allies like Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu due to BJP’s failure to secure an outright majority.
