According to officials, the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (KGP) will establish a junction point at Jaganpur-Afzalpur, located 10 kilometers from the Yamuna Expressway Zero Point. The acquisition of 60 hectares of land has been completed for this purpose. The issue with the farmers, which was creating a hindrance in the construction of the interchange, has been resolved.

The interchange is being developed under NHAI supervision, and the blueprint has been finalized. The planned construction requires Rs 270 crore in funding, and all necessary procedures for commencement have been completed. This project is expected to reduce overall travel distances by 20 kilometers.

Currently, there is no connection between the KGP crossing Greater Noida and to the Yamuna Expressway. Commuters reaching Agra on KGP have to take a detour of 15- 20 Km. This forces drivers to navigate traffic congestion at Pari Chowk and Kasna. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway currently has one interchange near the Sirsa location.
