A 38-year-old engineer allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at a Noida hotel, police said, adding that no suicide note has been recovered from his possession, but in primarily investigation it was revealed that he died over a pet dog’s health issue.
Victim Identified As Hathras Resident
Police said the deceased has been identified as Umesh, 38, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony in Hathras. Police said on Thursday around 11 am, Umesh checked in at a hotel along with his female friend. The couple shared a dinner meal until a disagreement developed between them.
Disagreement Over Pet Dog
According to the female friend of the deceased, she was in the bathroom when he ended his life. During the investigation, she revealed they were with their pet dog when a dispute took place over the treatment of the dog. Following the dispute, when she went inside the washroom, he took the extreme step. Police said it was alleged that the dog was owned by the couple, but deceased family members said that the dog belonged to them.
