The NC leader emphasized the significance of this alliance, especially amidst speculation from opponents suggesting that the National Conference might distance itself from Congress following recent developments involving Dr. Farooq Abdullah and the Enforcement Directorate. “Our rivals were quick to claim that we would keep our doors open for the BJP. However, the proactive engagement from Congress representatives sent from Delhi led to this collaborative solution,” he stated.
