With this development, scammers have also become more sophisticated, using technology to deceive people. They are using technology to fool people. The fraudsters will send an e-mail which will ask people to download the e-PAN. But doing this can land you in trouble.

They are using E-mails, SMS, and other things to fool people. The X handle of PIB Fact Check has verified this and called such mail ‘fake’.

The post mentions, ‘Do not respond to any emails, links, calls & SMS asking you to share financial & sensitive information.’

People can file a complaint in the Nationa Cyber Crime Helpline number ‘1930’. They can also register the complaint on the official site of the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

PAN 2.0 is the Upgraded version of the PAN card. This new PAN offers QR generation for getting quick information unified portal for all PAN/TAN-related services.

All PAN cards that existed before the introduction of its 2.0 version will remain functional. However, if people want to get a reprint of their PAN card or get a new pan card, then they need to make a request for it.

People can get a physical copy of the new PAN card by paying Rs 50. The PAN will get delivered to the person if the address is in India. But if the person wants to get PAN delivered outside India he will have to pay Rs 15 plus postage charges.
