Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said interacted with jawans at Adampur airbase. The prime minister said, “When our drones destroy the walls of the enemy’s fort, when our missiles reach the target with a whizzing sound, the enemy hears ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. When we light up the sun even at night, the enemy sees ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. When our armies blow away the threat of nuclear blackmail, then only one thing resonates from the sky- ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. All of you have made millions of Indians proud, have made every Indian’s mother proud, you have created history, and I have come among you this morning to see you.”

The prime minister said, “Rattled with #OperationSindoor, the enemy tried to attack this air base and several of our other air bases multiple times. They targeted us again and again but the nefarious designs of Pakistan failed each time.”

While praising the Indian Armed Forces , the prime minister said, “Pakistan’s drone, their UAVs, aircraft and missiles – all of those failed before our capable air defence. I extend heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of all air bases of the country and every air warrior of the Indian Air Force. You have done a really fantastic job.”

Operation Sindoor

Today, PM Modi’s meeting with jawans in Adampur comes in the wake of “Operation Sindoor,” where Indian Armed Forces targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

India’s Ministry of Defence said the action was in direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen. Indian Armed Forces successfully struck nine terror targets, four in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), using special precision munitions in a coordinated operation.
