There are various schemes run by the Indian Government for the citizens. Through these schemes, the government provides financial assistance to the beneficiaries. One such scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. This scheme was started in 2023. Through this scheme, the government assists workers who are doing traditional work. The government not only empowers these people by giving them training, but they also provides loans to these people.
Who Can Get Benefit Under This Scheme?
Millions across the country are benefiting from the Indian government’s Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme. This scheme extends support to a wide range of traditional artisans, including lock makers, barbers, toy makers, goldsmiths, toolkit manufacturers, stone carvers, met weavers, tailors, laundry workers, garland workers, boat builders, weapon makers, and others. To be eligible, applicants must be over 18 years of age.
The government extends various benefits through the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. Under this scheme, individuals receive training, during which they are provided a daily stipend of Rs 500. The training lasts for 15 days. After completing the training, participants become eligible for a loan of Rs 1 lakh. Once this loan is repaid, a second loan of Rs 2 lakh can be availed. These loans are offered without any collateral and at a very low interest rate.
