Punjab Expressway: Good News! Soon 110-Km Long Route To Cut Bathinda-Chandigarh Travel By 50 km

This new expressway will connect several key locations, including Bathinda, Muktasar, Abohar, and even Rajasthan, providing huge relief for those traveling to Chandigarh from these areas.

This new expressway will connect several key locations, including Bathinda, Muktasar, Abohar, and even Rajasthan, providing huge relief for those traveling to Chandigarh from these areas. The distance between Bathinda and Chandigarh will be reduced by 50 kilometers, making the journey much more convenient. The expressway will link Chandigarh to Barnala, Malerkotla, Khanna Bypass, Sirhind, and Mohali, enhancing connectivity in the region.

One of the biggest advantages of this expressway is that it will also connect to the economic corridor being developed from Ludhiana to Ajmer. This will open up even more opportunities for trade and business in the region.

Previously, travelers from Bathinda had to pass through Barnala, Sangrur, and Patiala to reach Chandigarh. But with the new road, they will be able to travel directly from Barnala to Chandigarh, saving time and avoiding the need to pass through Sangrur and Patiala.

In addition, a separate road will be built between Barnala and Mohali IT City, improving access to this important tech hub. Currently, construction is underway on the Sirhind-Mohali road, and in the near future, work will begin on the road connecting Sirhind to Barnala.

The expressway is part of the Bharatmala Project and will be a Greenfield expressway, which means it is being developed in an area where no previous road infrastructure exists. Additionally, this expressway will connect with the ongoing six-lane road being constructed between Bathinda and Ludhiana.

This new project, once completed, will not only make travel more convenient but also promote economic growth and improve the overall infrastructure in Punjab.

In short, the new expressway is a welcome development that will make traveling to Chandigarh quicker, easier, and more efficient, benefitting residents and travelers alike.
