Who was the highest-paid actor in Ramayana?

Everyone who grew up watching Ramayan on DD National in the late 1980s knows that Arun Govil defined his portrayal of Lord Ram. shockingly, he surfaced as the highest-paid actor, a fact that corresponds with the popularity of the show.

Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan enthralled viewers not just during its first run, but also during the COVID-19 lockdown and the Adipurush issue, resulting in its re-airing on national television. Sunil Lahri played Lakshman, Dipika Chikhlia played Sita, Dara Singh played Hanuman, and Arvind Trivedi played Raavan.

How much salary did Ramayan Cast receive?

According to a Times Now story, Arun Govil was first rejected for the role of Lord Ram by creator Ramanand Sagar, even though the actor received the highest pay rate. He reportedly received Rs 40 lakh for his role in the series. This sum far outweighed the profits of his co-stars. Dipika Chikhlia, who played Sita, was paid Rs 20 lakh, which was half of Govil’s pay. Sunil Lahri, who brought Lakshman to life, was awarded Rs 25 lakh.

Dara Singh and Arvind Trivedi, who played Hanuman and Raavan, respectively, were also paid well for their roles. Dara was awarded Rs 35 lakh, while Arvind was compensated with Rs 30 lakh for his role in this legendary series.
