New Delhi : The Supreme Court has got 5 new judges as the Government has approved 5 names sent by collegium. Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Pankaj Mittal, Manipur High Court Chief Justice PV Sanjay Kumar, Patna High Court Justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah, Patna High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Karol, and Allahabad High Court Justice Manoj Mishra have been appointed as judges in the supreme court.

Now Supreme court has 32 Judges

Last year on December 13, the Supreme Court Collegium had sent the suggestion of 5 names to the Central Government for approval. Now, With the new appointment of five new judges, the Supreme Court judges strength went to 32. As per law Sc can have 34 sanctioned posts of judges. A day before the appointment of judges, the Supreme Court had expressed displeasure over the government regarding the delay in approving the names of judges.

No one can warn anyone – Law minister

Meanwhile, the union law minister has said no one can warn anyone. then Law Minister Kiren Rijiju was in a program in Prayagraj. Where he stated, ‘I learnt that it is being said in the media that the Supreme Court has given a warning over the approval of judges. In my opinion, No one can warn anyone, he said. We all are  servants of this great country, that in itself is a great thing. People of the nation have given us a chance to work for them. All of you are privileged people as you went to higher study to become judges and lawyers. We are lucky to have got the responsibility to work for the country.

Kiran Rijiju has rejected the Supreme Court’s warning. He said ‘some media reports say that the Supreme Court has given a warning. While here no one can warn anyone. We all are public servants, we work according to the constitution.
