As per reports, the 123 places include mosques, dargahs, and graveyards. The properties were once owned by the government. However, during the Manmohan Singh-led UPA regime, these properties were allotted to the Waqf Board.

Now the government is seeking a board to show some important documents explaining why they should keep these properties with them. The Waqf Board sought help from the High Court, but the High Court did not give them any help.

The government has sent a letter to Delhi Waqf Board Chairman and AAP MLA Amanutallah Khan for the same. The letter said that if the board wants to claim the properties, then they will have to produce concrete papers and information. The group had already sought help from the special court, but the court could not resolve the problem.
