From March 31 midnight onward, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) implemented new toll fee adjustments on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway as well as NH-9. The toll rate for vehicles traveling from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut in a single direction will increase from Rs 165 to Rs 170. The toll rate at the Chhijarsi plaza on NH-9 amounts to Rs 175 for all vehicles whereas it used to cost Rs 170.
Light commercial vehicles will now have to pay Rs 280 instead of Rs 270 when they use the toll and both buses and trucks will move from Rs 570 to Rs 590. The fee rate for all four-wheelers moving between Ghaziabad and Meerut will increase from Rs 70 to Rs 75 while commercial four-wheelers will pay Rs 275 instead of their previous toll amount of Rs 265.
The toll price increase for six-wheeled buses and trucks reaches Rs 580 from Rs 560 whereas 10-wheeled trucks must now pay Rs 630 instead of previous rates at Rs 610. The toll price increase for 12-wheeled trucks will take them from Rs 875 to Rs 905. Any vehicle traveling through the Eastern Peripheral Expressway under all categories will encounter higher toll fees.
The NHAI released notification details about new pricing which shows that goods transport vehicles with more than seven axles will see the biggest toll fee hike because it surged to Rs 590.
