Agra Accident: In a tragic incident, five people were killed in a collision between two motorcycles in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred late Saturday night when a bike carrying four individuals collided with another motorcycle carrying two people. Reportedly, the collision was so intense that riders of both bikes were thrown several feet away. Five people died on the spot and one injured was rushed to the hospital. Kagarol Police were alerted by the passersby.
Statement of the injured has been recorded and families of the victims were notified. The condition of the injured is now stable. Police have filed a case and further investigation is underway.
What Did Police Say?
According to police, the victims on the first motorcycle were returning home from a wedding when the accident took place. They have been identified as residents of Saiyan; Bhagwan Das (35), Vakil (35), Ram Swaroop (28), and Sonu (30).
Inspector (Crime) Rajveer Singh of Kagarol police station informed about the fatalities. He said, “Five people have died in the collision, and their bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The injured is admitted to private hospital and is receiving treatment.”
In another incident that occurred on Saturday, four passengers were killed and 19 injured after a bus collided with truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, in Fatehabad. The incident took place around 5:40 AM. The bus was traveling from Lucknow to Agra and collided with a truck while overtaking. The injured were rushed to CHC Fatehabad for treatment. Fatehabad Police Station Incharge, DP Tiwari stated that the further investigation is underway.
DP Tiwari informed that the bus (registration no. RJ18PB5811) lost control while overtaking near the 27 km mark of the Lucknow-Agra Expressway and collided with a truck. He added, “The left side of the bus was severely damaged, and four people died on the spot.”
