Weather Update: Orange Alert Issued In 11 States Including UP And Bihar As Heavy Rain Threatens

For the coming days regions such as Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Chhattisgarh can expect rainfall.

Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department forecasts rain in North-West and Central India over the next five days following lightning and storms. States including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Chhattisgarh will experience rainfall during this period.

The IMD predicts that coastal Karnataka will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on Saturday, July 6. Additionally, heavy to very heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and South Interior Karnataka.

Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Kerala, and Mahe have been put on alert for heavy rain. Thunderstorms and rainfall are expected in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Gujarat.

Skymet Weather predicts that Haryana, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Kerala, and South Interior Karnataka could experience light to moderate rainfall. Delhi, Ladakh, Rayalaseema, Marathwada, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu may also see light rain.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rainfall in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, interior Karnataka, coastal Maharashtra, and central Maharashtra. The alert warns people about severe weather conditions that could disrupt public life.

A yellow alert has been issued for Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Western Rajasthan, Eastern Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Mizoram, Manipur, and Kerala. This alert indicates potential weather changes that could impact daily life, with expected rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm.

The Meteorological Department issues alerts categorized as green, yellow, orange, and red. The red alert is the most severe, indicating a high risk of flooding due to heavy rainfall. Additionally, alerts have been issued for strong winds in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
