Will Chennai Plunge Into Darkness On March 1? These Areas To Face Electricity Disruption

Chennai is not expected to plunge into complete darkness on March 1, but some areas will face electricity disruptions due to maintenance work.

Electricity supply will be snapped for around five hours in several areas in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, said Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, adding the power supply will be affected in Egmore. According to the electricity department, the power will cut at around 9 am to 2 pm. The electricity department said power will be resumed before 2 pm but requested residents to make necessary arrangements to avoid any inconvenience.
