Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has started the process of land acquisition from farmers of villages included under Master Plan 2041. The authority will develop new sectors on the land of these farmers and a plot scheme will be started there. After obtaining the consent of the farmers, their land will be registered in the name of the authority.
In return, farmers will be given compensation of Rs 3808 per square meter and 7 percent of the total land as residential plots. The government has already issued orders and directed all the authorities not to start any plot scheme until there is ownership of the land. Its purpose is to avoid land disputes and develop the plots on time and hand over possession to the allottees. Taking steps in this direction, Yamuna Authority has started land acquisition for the sectors planned under Master Plan 2041.
A list of farmers from Bhikanpur and Kallupura under Sector-5, Ranhera, Mudrah, Dayorar and Dhansia for Sector-8 and Veerampur village for Sector-9 has been released. In addition, the remaining land in already developed Sectors 24A, 32 and 29 will also be acquired.
While Sectors 8 and 9 will be industrial sectors, Sector-5 will be developed as a residential area. The Yamuna Authority plans to start a plot scheme in these sectors near the Noida International Airport as soon as possible. SMME Park in Sector-32, Apparel Park in Sector-29 and other industrial parks already exist, while residential plots have been allotted in Sector-24A, which are to be handed over soon.
