Ingredients

  • 4 Buns (Ladi pav)

  • Butter – for toasting

  • 2 tbsp of Dabeli masala (store-bought or homemade)

  • Toppings: Sev

  • pomegranate seeds

  • chopped onions

  • roasted peanuts2 large Boiled potatoes

  • 2 tbsp of Tamarind chutney

  • Garlic chutney – as needed

Step By Step Guide

Make The Potato Filling

First, mash the boiled potatoes and toss them in a hot pan with dabeli masala and oil. Then add a bit of tamarind chutney and water. Cook until everything blends perfectly.

Roast The Peanuts Until Golden

In the next step, take a separate pan. Heat it over a medium-low flame and lightly dry roast the peanuts with dabeli masala and a pinch of salt. Keep aside.

Toast The Pav

Moving on to the next step, now slice the pav and apply melted butter on both sides. Toast them lightly on a hot pan until they turn golden.

Spread The Chutney

Now you have to spread the garlic chutney on one inner side and tamarind chutney on the other side.

Fill In the Mixture And Prepare The Dabeli

Following on to the next step, you have to add a spoon of the potato filling inside the pav and top with chopped onions, pomegranate seeds, roasted peanuts, and sev.

Grill Or Toast And Serve

Once you are done with the above steps, now lightly press and toast the filled pav on the hot pan. Dabeli is now ready to serve. Serve hot with extra chutney or a cup of chai. Enjoy!
