Supporting, promoting, and progressing interdisciplinary collaboration among biomedical researchers is the primary objective of IABMS. The IABMS maintains an official journal called “BIOMEDICINE” that publishes academic papers on biomedical research, and the current Editor-in-Chief is Prof Manjula Shantaram.

Dr Yellapragada Subbarao Memorial Award is awarded for the best research paper in biochemistry published in biomedicine (India) journal in the previous year.
