Sleep In AC Rooms

Mosquitoes turn less active in cool environments. Sleeping in air-conditioned rooms can lower the risk of mosquito bites.

Apply Mosquito Repellent

Wear repellents with DEET, picaridin, or lemon eucalyptus oil on exposed areas of the body and over clothes. These repellents reduce the human scent that tends to attract mosquitoes. You may reapply it as mentioned on the product’s instruction corner.

Mosquito Nets

One of the most effective solutions to eliminate malaria is sleeping under an insecticide-treated mosquito net (ITN). The net comes at an affordable price and creates a barrier between you and the parasites during the night.

Wear Long And Protective Clothing

Wear protective clothing and cover yourself with full-sleeved shirts and long pants. This helps in reducing exposed skin, making it difficult for mosquitoes to bite. Dark colours attract mosquitoes, so prefer light-coloured clothing.

Eliminate Standing Water

Mosquitoes mostly breed in standing water. Keep containers such as flower pots and buckets covered and avoid the collection of water. Changing water in bowls or plant trays can prevent breeding.
